(1) The Chief District Officer shall inspect the jail at least once in three months and as required.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the Chief District Officer shall inspect the following matters:-
(a) Whether or not there are proper arrangements for prison security (b) Imprisonment by the prisoner: Whether or not, on the day the term is served, he is released from imprisonment (c) Whether the prisoners are allowed to appear in the court on time in the court-appointed appearance,
(d) Whether the rations available to the prisoners are received on time or not and whether they are of good quality or not (e) Whether or not there is provision for drug treatment for prisoners in accordance with this Act (f) Whether or not the prisoners are provided with the service facilities required by the existing law, (3) Inspection according to sub-sections (1) and (2) and report thereof to the ministry and department in the case of federal prisons and to the ministry, department and the relevant provincial government in the case of provincial prisons. It should be submitted to the Ministry of Prisons.
